Samples, samples, and more samples! Make samples of twin needle tucks, edge joining tucks, edge stitching tucks, embellished tucks, hooped embroidery, non-hooped embroidery, stitch manipulation that will inspire and delight. You could make the samples into a reference notebook to refer to again and again or use as an applique on your favorite shirt or jacket. One thing is for certain, you will learn lots and receive a free embroidery design. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.

Advance Prep:
Cut (3) 4-inch X 44-inch crosswise strips from 1 yard of fabric. Bring strips and the remainder of fabric to class.
Supply List:
Rotary cutter with new blade, rotary ruler, any sewing notion you cannot live without. Thread to match your fabric (black, white, gray and ecru thread will be provided for classroom use), Sulky 40 wt. rayon thread to match fabric, Sulky 12 wt. thread to match, 1 spool Pearl Crown Rayon or ribbon floss by YLI, 3 1/2-inch square ruler or template; tear away stabilizer; Water soluble or Frixion pen; scissors; straight pins; glue stick. Bring flash/thumb drive if you want to copy the embroidery design. Or it could be emailed after class. Note: Rotary cutting mat will be available in the classroom. Label all sewing tools with your name.
