A novel way to make half square triangles, flying geese, hourglass and sawtooth borders without tedious sewing and cutting. This method was introduced in 1988 by Anita Hallack and is a great time saver. The primus uses a basic checkerboard, turning it on point with two cuts and two seams and cutting it into numerous units to create blocks. Attendees will work with paper, tape, ruler, and scissors to learn the technique and see examples of turning square quilts on point without using triangles. This hands-on, no machine class is very fun with lots of possibilities for creating blocks easier and quicker.
