Learn a technique to transform the fabric you already own into dramatic prints, batiks, or subtle special effects with washable results. The versatility, ease of use, and flexibility of Paintstiks give you the ability to make exactly what you need, when you need it. Numerous project ideas, tips and techniques will be discussed. Those who would like to work along need only a few basic supplies. On the other hand, watching and taking it all is perfectly acceptable also.

    You will need:

    • Minimum of three Iridescent Shiva Artist Paintstiks in light, medium and dark values 

    • One stencil brush, and a stencil 

    • Rubbing plates, or something that can be used as texture, i.e. rubber sink mat, plastic doilies, real leaves with ridges discernible to touch 

    • Several squares of black cotton fabric (approx. 12 inch), and one light • Masking or painter’s tape

    • Work surface protected by plastic or paper 

    • Paper towels

    Optional • Grip N Grip mat which prevents textures from sliding during rubbings, temporary spray adhesive, ie 404, Sulky KK2000, etc.
