Learn how to strip piece and create border designs with the Westalee Design Sampler Set 1 Templates. You will also discover many more ways to manipulate the templates, while working to improve your ruler quilting techniques and stretching your creativity. If you weren't hooked before this class, you certainly will be after completing this project! Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of Template Quilting techniques

Advance Prep: Be sure to purchase the kit and any additional supplies at least one week prior to class using the link in the Student Supply List

Have machine set for standard straight stitching to piece the placemat in "Quilt as you Go" method. Template quilting supplies and tools should be ready to use.
Supply List:
- 2 Fat Quarter Fabric sandwiches with a lightweight batting (example: Warm & Natural, Quilters Dream Request)
- Top layer of fabric should be a dark solid or near solid in color (example: Black, Brown, Dark Purple)
- 40 wt. thread of a high contrasting color (example: White, Cream, Natural, Yellow)
- #90 Top Stitch Machine Needle, Janome Purple Top Needle
- Chaco Liner Pen by Clover (refill with White Pounce IRON-OFF Chalk)
- Small sharp scissors
