In this introductory workshop to Sashiko, a Japanese form of decorative reinforcement stitching, students will learn about the history and the basic supplies needed to begin stitching this unique style. Jen will show you the best ways to transfer the design and demonstrate the stitches, as well as discussing its application for big-stitch hand quilting. Start your Sashiko journey on a pre-printed panel that can be finished as you review the stitches while watching the video recording. Stitchers beware…Sashiko is addictive!
