Everyone loves the quintessential poinsettia! Christmas is coming so let’s get ready with this amazing, quilted poinsettia wall-hanging. Learn the creative skill of bobbin work from the Bobbin Work Queen herself, Cindy Losekamp. She will teach you the techniques and methods she has developed throughout her 38 years of creating bobbin work. Any type of stitching, whether it is appliqué, decorative stitch work, free motion, or hooped embroidery, all will be enhanced by using thick and luxurious threads for depth and dimension. Bobbin work will surprise and delight you with its beautiful texture. In addition to the bobbin work, you will learn how to use printer fabric to enhance items, perfect for personalized gifts. This beautiful kit is made just for you and will contain the pattern, and a specially printed poinsettia as the centerpiece of our small quilt. The kit also contains perfectly coordinated fabrics, stabilizers, batting, fleece, a DVD to help you with your prep, and three spools of specialty thread. Join us for fun and learn how to stitch upside down.

  • Student Maximum: 50
  • Category(ies): Rookies and Refreshers, Art to Wear, Fiber and Needle Arts, Just for Fun, Embellishment, Surface Design, Stretch Your Creativity
  • Experience Level: All welcome
  • Prerequisite: Please know how to wind bobbins and thread your machine.
  • Advance Prep: After you receive your kit, and close to the day of class, Cindy will setup a 30 minute, private Zoom class with you, to go over setting your machine to use the heavy bobbin thread. During class you will need access to your rotary cutting mat, cutter and ruler. A small ironing surface would be helpful. Brushing out and cleaning your machine before class, will prevent your machine from drawing up tufts of fuzz into your project. This sounds like a lot but it will be okay. Once you get the prep out of the way, it's really easy and it's very forgiving. :o)
  • Supply List:

Please order the required kit directly from Cindy for $32 plus shipping using the link below. Order at least one week before the class to allow plenty of time for shipping.
