Cut (4) strips white fabric to 1 1/2-inch wide x width of fabric, cut string fabric into strips 1-inch - 3-inches wide, some at least 12-inches long, (Don't worry about cutting ALL of your fabric for your quilt - just cut a bit to get started!)
Machine set up for piecing with 1/4-inch foot, thread to coordinate with fabric, rotary cutting supplies, 6 x 12-inch ruler, 6 x 24-inch ruler, and iron set up nearby.

You will also need: Thread to coordinate with fabric; rotary cutting supplies; 6 x 12-inch ruler, 6 x 24-inch ruler; iron; mechanical pencil; scissors, sewing machine; 1/4-inch piecing foot.
