Turn a plain cotton tote into a wearable piece of art. In this workshop, students learn how to place and stitch modern embroidery design on finished bag. Each student will go home with a unique project bag that they can use for running errands, attending guild meetings, or just carrying their sewing supplies. 

We’ll cover: 
•    How to plan your design around straps, pockets, and seams 
•    Hooping and stabilizing a bag so stitching is comfortable 
•    A set of modern stitches (lines, florals, words, and simple motifs) 
•    How to protect and care for your embroidered bag so it lasts

Material fee includes: Canvas tote, embroidery floss, needles, adhesive, stabilizer
