Transform a bare chair frame into a finished showpiece in this hands-on workshop! Perfect for beginners and seasoned DIYers alike, this class guides you step-by-step through building a fully upholstered chair from the frame up. Participants will bring a pre-approved, pre-stripped, and fully prepped chair frame, and we’ll take it from there. You’ll learn modern upholstery techniques, padding and support systems, fabric application, clean finishing, and all the insider tricks that make your work look professional. All materials (except fabric) are included: foam, batting, webbing, dust cover, trim options, so you can focus on learning instead of hunting down supplies. We’ll also provide all tools needed, from staple guns to upholstery needles, along with guided instruction throughout the entire build.
Students Bring Your Own Fabric-Teacher will contact students in advance to review stripping the current upholstery, then discuss fabric options and amount needed for their specific chair.
Material fee includes: Upholstery Supplies needed to reupholster their chair. Foam, Batting, Jute, fasteners, etc. Does not include fabric.
