Have you ever seen a ready-made garment and thought, “I could make that!” That’s what designer Jim Suzio does with his incredible dress series we call Knock Offs to Knockouts. Inspired by an embroidered blouse found in an online catalog, Jim will share his process for selecting fabric, adapting patterns, and best of all the embroidery! In this fabulous class, students will learn how to prepare fabric for fashion embroidery. What fabric and thread are best? Pros and cons for pre-washing, plus specific stabilizers and hooping tips; then embroider Jim’s exclusive floral design in your favorite color for a lovely square-neck yoke. Plan to embroider and sew the yoke, attach the front and back pieces of the blouse in class. As you sew, Jim will share a unique technique for gathers, plus other designer tips for making beautiful clothes. (Additional embroidery and puffed sleeves may be finished at home.)

Material fee includes: Embroidery Design files on USB Blouse Pattern and instructions (includes plus sizes) 2 yard Linen or Cotton Voile Fabric (55" wide) Embroidery Thread
