You will see quilts dating from 1886 (yes DATED) until the 1960's. There is so much to see and learn about how and why these quilts were made. You will have the opportunity to touch some of the fabrics and materials used with these quilts; they truly are amazing. After you have viewed these beautiful examples of the past quilt making, you will have the opportunity to make a quilt block of your own with some materials from those bygone eras. Vintage fabrics and vintage lace, ribbons and maybe a few reproduction trinkets thrown in. Each student will create a quilt block unlike anyone else's as each will be totally unique. Join us for a chance to look back on the history of this wonderful craft we share, quilting specifically. Piecing is more an American craft than in other countries. Items have been quilted for many years, but we elevated it to the art form it is today. Join us for a fun and informative time. Relax and enjoy the process, you will not be disappointed.

This will be a hands-on, no machine class and a fun time learning together with others.

Material fee includes: fabrics, vintage laces, ribbons, embroidery threads, hoops. Embellishments and special trinkets.
