Hand sewing or quilting can be a relaxing way to pass the time while waiting for an appointment or watching TV but sometimes it is difficult to push the needle through the fabric and that is where a thimble comes in handy. It will allow you to quilt and sew in comfort. We will start with the rocking quilting technique which will give you a chance to get comfortable with a thimble on your finger. Once you are comfortable, we will move on to an invisible hemming/binding stitch. This is important for garment sewing and finishing your quilts. Your hand sewing and quilting will flow so much easier and make hand sewing a joy!
