Brighten up your winter days and enjoy the scenes from the comfort of your home with this cute wall hanging. Create a flourish of winter scenes as you work with wool applique on a cotton background. Stephanie will guide you every step of the way as you learn the basic embroidery stitches you’ll use to stitch up your winter wonderland. Plus, you will learn helpful tips for working with wool. It’s the perfect time of year to learn a new skill or brush up on an old one. Kit is available for purchase or supply your own fabric; see supply list for details.

Advance Prep:
At least 2 weeks before the Expo, purchase your kit for $45 (which includes the pattern) plus postage OR purchase the pattern for $11 which includes postage and supply your own fabric. Contact Stephanie directly to purchase via e-mail at woolenstitches14@gmail.com

Students who purchase the pattern and supply their own fabric - When your pattern arrives gather the fabric and supplies listed in the pattern. Then cut and sew the background pieces and/or precut applique pieces.

Students who purchase the kit - When your kit arrives precut the applique pieces prior to class.
Supply List:
Chenille or Embroidery needle, various threads (Suggested size 8-12 --Perle cotton, crochet, Valdani, embroidery floss all work), reading glasses if you wear them, 28mm rotary cutter with new blade, 6x24-inch ruler, any notions you normally sew with. Note: Rotary cutting mats will be available in the classroom.

Note: The kit is recommended but not required. You can choose to purchase the pattern for $11 and supply your own fabric OR purchase the kit for $45 (which includes the pattern) plus postage which has everything except the backing fabric.
