If you have struggled with fitting the bust and back, you are not alone. There are a myriad of measurements to be taken and once that is accomplished what do you do with all those numbers? What are the measurement requirements for each area? What is the difference between a rounded back and a dowager curve? What are the differences between a larger bust and a prominent bust? What is the shoulder slope measurement and what does it tell me about my figure? Is it necessary? How do we look at (read) measurements to tell us where the changes need to be made? These are questions that must be answered to correctly alter a pattern for each individual person. Good fit can be challenging but it is a worthy goal and it can be mastered.
