This is not an exactly an art quilt class, but a guide to using silk in your quilts. Explore all aspects of quilting with silk, including needle size and style, how to stop raveling and more as you create a silk Table Art table runner or wall quilt. Open the door to wonderful possibilities using all those wonderful silk fabrics. Spend the morning learning and making design decisions for your piece; stitch in the afternoon. The elegance of silk is also the perfect foil for quilting stitches. Class will break from 12:00 - 2:30.

- Student Maximum: 20
- Category(ies): Quiltmaking, Appliqué, Piecing Techniques
- Experience Level: Beginner and beyond.
- Supply List: Paper scissors, dressmaker shears, small scissors or snips, straight pins, tape measure, seam gauge (6" ruler), pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk) and seam ripper. Please note:Class will break from 12:00 - 2:30.
- Completion Level: Fabrics will be cut, arranged and fused in the morning class. Stitching and other silk-specific techniques will be demonstrated and discussed. Afternoon is held in the Pfaff Studio, where stitching occurs for the duration of class. All students will be able to complete ramainder of the project confidently at home.
