This Mamie’s Block quilt is one of Judi’s series dedicated to the First Ladies of our country. The basis is Mamie’s signature block, found at the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas. Learn to paper piece, and create a quick and easy pieced block border as you hear all about Mamie, and discover in what ways she felt women were superior to men. Choice of colors for your 34” x 34” quilt top.

  • Advance Prep: Complimentary lunch is included. You will receive a voucher in class to use at the concessions counter.
  • Supply List: Paper scissors, dressmaker shears, small scissors or snips, straight pins, tape measure, seam gauge (6" ruler), pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk) and seam ripper.
  • Completion Level: Students will progress approximately half-way in class.
