Give your favorite clothes a second life and make them lovelier than before. Sashiko is a centuries-old Japanese running-stitch tradition that turns a worn knee or a plain pocket into something you are proud to wear. You will learn the basic stitch and rhythm, how to patch and reinforce a hole so it lasts, and how to add pattern and color that make the mend the best part of the garment. We will also cover how to modify your favorite pants and other clothing items, taking in, adding a panel, or changing a hem, so the pieces you already own fit and feel new.
