Whether you’re new to embroidery or have been stitching for years, choosing the right stabilizers, needles, threads, hoops, and fabrics can be overwhelming. Knowing which combinations to use is key to achieving professional-looking results.
In this hands-on class, we’ll take the guesswork out of embroidery! You’ll learn about the different types of fabrics available for embroidery, including glitter vinyl and glitter fabric, and discover which stabilizers work best for different projects. We’ll explore stabilizers from various manufacturers and discuss when and where to use each type.
You’ll also learn which needles are best for different threads and techniques, explore a variety of embroidery threads, and discover what a magnetic hoop is and when it can make your embroidery easier and more successful.
The class includes several fun projects and workbook-based techniques, including:
- Mug Rug – featuring quilting and glitter fabric, with a mug included in your kit
- Sewing a Patch
- Lace Ornament – using glitter vinyl
- Sewing Knits – workbook technique
- Puffy Foam – workbook techniqueSpend the day with us learning new techniques, experimenting with specialty materials, and building your confidence.
