Make a table runner while learning basic cutting skills and trusted piecing techniques. To reduce fabric waste and for efficiency we will use a cutting plan to maximize the use of the three fat quarters you will be using for this project. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.

  • Advance Prep:

    All fat quarters need to be pressed.

  • Supply List:

    Pins, snips, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or mechanical pencil, 6 1/2-inch square ruler, 45mm rotary cutter with new blade inserted, 6 x 24-inch rotary ruler and any sewing supply you cannot sew without. NOTE: Rotary cutting mat will be available in the classroom.

     

    Fabric requirements:

    3 fat quarters in light, medium and dark

  • Completion Level:

    Blocks will be completed and ready to sew into table runner at home.
