Do you want your blouses and jackets to have the Chanel look or are you satisfied with the shoulder seams being in the wrong place, the arm holes too large and you can’t stretch your arm? Joe Vecchiarelli, expert draper and fitter to the stars and consultant to tv studios, will show you how to have your sleeve fit perfectly every time - not only for the Chanel look but for other styles and designs.

In this comprehensive class, each attendee’s arm will be personally measured by Joe who will then show you how to transpose those measurements on to paper that will create the perfectly fitting sleeve for your body. You will discuss the importance of the arm cap and as well as the intricacies of inserting the different sleeve styles into a garment. You will learn how to make adjustments that will balance the armhole for a beautiful fitting and functional sleeve. Joe will challenge the conventional notion of a symmetrical armhole answering the question as to whether your body is truly the same back and front. He will discuss how a custom-made body double dress form can alleviate many of the problems when making a garment for someone that is a-symmetrical, has a Dowager hump, different shoulder heights or another challenging measurement.
