Tweaking the scale of the Dresden "blades" just a bit creates an entirely new look to this lovely traditional quilt block and gives us the perfect place for embellishment. Jill has designed a very special, yet simple to duplicate, lady’s face specifically for that embellishment. The simplicity of the design makes it easy for you create ladies of many looks. Your choices, both style and fabric, will determine the center design. You may choose to embroider the center with a motif, favorite verse or saying or even fussy cut an appliqué. Project includes directions for constructing simple blades, perfect circles and points; designing and planning your characters; some decorative stitching; quilting suggestions and a bit of color theory. Bring your own fabric, see supply list for details.
