The intricate and very geometric quilt blocks have been adapted from a Native American basket design of the Miwok-Paiute tribe in North America. This modern quilt, measuring 36 x 45-inches, uses traditional construction techniques for the half-square triangles and foundation piecing to create the 60-degree triangles and some strip piecing, too. To enhance and finish the geometric blocks, quilt the negative space with a more modern motif and hang vertically or horizontally. Either way you look at it, the quilt is simply stunning.
