Knitted Quilt Blocks

Combine your love for quilts, color and knitting in one project! Learn techniques on these small knitted blocks that can be used on other knitting projects, including two different methods for knitting with beads, creating 3-dimensional blocks and more. You’ll knit blocks resembling some of your favorite (and soon to become favorite) quilts in class – just nine of which can be put together as a table-topper or pillow top. They could also become the start to a distinctive, full-size afghan. Includes all yarn, pattern, buttons, beads, beading needle, crochet hook and project worksheet for the nine-patch project. Fine Finishings for Felted Bags

Make your felted bags beautiful with professional finishing techniques. Learn to begin the finishing process while bags are still felting in the washer! Includes blocking, grooming, bag structure, closures, hardware and lining techniques. Demonstrations followed by hands-on practice cover adding magnetic closures to both lined and unlined bags, how to apply handles, set in zippers and how to use plastic artist canvas for structure and strength in a finished bag. Make your own, personally sized, felted, ambidextrous oven mitten – it works for both right and left hands! Get step-by-step instructions, beginning with measuring your own hand all the way through knitting and felting. Focus on experimenting with color combinations, and have some fun!
Pre-requisite: Must know how to knit on double-pointed needles and in the round.

Knitting 101: Felted Bowl
