A little challenge goes a long way when you want to take your sewing up a notch. Choose to push your art or skill set with a self-defined challenge to incorporate a new technique, a special fabric scrap or a difficult fabrication in your next project. The stretch experience is invaluable. The other way to grow is to enter a competition or challenge that moves you into new sewing territory and offers a deadline for the completion of the entry. Class discussion will help you focus on appropriate challenges, getting out of your comfort zone with sanity intact, and will include a tour of the diverse and fanciful garments in our current Threads Challenge Exhibit. Rae is the designer who handcrafted the many creations on display, and will help you become inspired to take a creative plunge or two, yourself.
