The beauty of this technique is in the zigzag design created for the background, which is sewn without using half square triangles -- and therefore no matching points to fuss with or bias edges to worry about. Simple and fast, the technique lends itself to making much larger quilts, too. You’ll add strip piecing, accurate ¼” seams, proper pressing and nesting of seams, sewing blocks on point and raw edge fusible applique to your quiltmaking skills while creating this stunning piece. Added embellishments optional.
