No drawing ability needed, really. You willl use simple stencils to trace designs onto freezer paper-backed muslin…. How easy is that? Then, starting with crayons, you will simply color (mostly inside the lines). Jill will help you with shading and application techniques, then take you on to Prismacolor pencils, which are wonderful because they are wax based and have lots of pigment (color). Wax means you can heat set them, yay! And, then take another step up to fabric pens. You have built up to the pens, so just have more fun and learn a few extra techniques. These are permanent…. what about mistakes? Jill's feeling is cover mistakes with glitter! So, the final step is to create some distractions with shading and glitter, as you like. Remember to ask about the border secret in Jill's sample. Includes pattern. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.
