In this miniature version of the original wall quilt, Jill shares some of her favorite needle and machine techniques. You’ll experience them while making this evocative 7” x 12” mini, with dragonflies crossing the inner border and leaves both appliqued and outline stitched, well, that’s the bonus. Use a nifty tapered satin stitch for the branches and an unusual sheer applique technique, plus upside-down leaf placement. Simple beaded or French knot eyes, a double mitered border, easy turned applique moon and a futon finish -- all in a little project that can be completed by a determined stitcher in three hours.
