Discover the tricks for piecing beautiful diamond and triangle unit patchwork! Work with rulers from Fons and Porter® (the Diamond and 60 degree triangle) with Diane’s guidance, and you’ll pick up dozens of tips and tricks for making your own creations. Diane will share many ideas for creating your own quilts, and expand your patchwork horizons. You’ll see how versatile diamonds and triangles are. You'll never be afraid of triangles again!

  • Prerequisite: Student should have confident knowledge of cutting and piecing
  • Supply List:

    Paper scissors, fabric scissors, small scissors or snips, rotary cutter, straight pins, pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk) and seam ripper.


    Fabric requirements:
    • Bring a coordinating variety of fat quarters in batiks or prints. Make sure there is at least one dark, medium and light fabric that coordinates.
    • We will use these for practice in making block combinations using the Diamond and Pyramid rulers.
  • Completion Level: Should complete sample blocks made with triangles and pyramids in class
