When you spend the day with Pam, you always get more than you expect -- more fun, more learning, more media to play with and a really great project, too. Start with an exploration of hooped embroidery as you create several different types of dimensional flowers for your garden basket -- applique, fill stitch and free-standing. You’ll use different types of fabric, stabilizers and hooping methods, and lots of useful techniques to use with other embroidery projects. As the flowers grow under your needle, you’ll pick up Pam’s best tips for successful embroidery results every time. The afternoon is spent enjoying the totally relaxing discipline of Zentangle -- it’s a great addition to your creative toolbox, used to design quilting motifs, add depth and interest to stitched projects and more. Finish the day by arranging and attaching your flowers as you construct your pillow, complete with a zipper (and the easiest installation you’ve ever experienced!).
