Yes! This is a good thing! Of the three known methods of pattern alternation (Seam, Pivot and Slide, Slash and Spread), the Seam method is the easiest to use: to see what is happening, to execute correctly and to cause no distortions as you make pattern changes exactly where you want them. The changes can arise from one or two simple alterations, or be more complex for the figure with multiple figure variations.
