Discover the freedom of cutting and sewing wavy strips of fabric without pins or snipping of seams. Fast and easy, the secret’s in Helene’s technique for stitching an accurate 1/4 inch seam to create the undulating background for your heron. Once stitching is completed, enjoy the artistry of sectioned applique for the heron and surrounding grasses – all without any stiffness. See how some couched fibers can enhance the picture, and end class with a discussion of quilting designs for completion at home.
