Jill’s love for handwork and her constant, uninhibited urge to innovate for better results combined here in a wonderful variation on classic methods for hand quilting, embroidery, and beading. She favors needles which are longer and doesn’t use a hoop, (but will demonstrate how to use one so you have a choice). Because she mixes hand quilting with machine appliqué, embroidery and beading in many of her own projects, this workshop will open up your creative options, offer you comfortable and successful alternatives to classic guidelines and provide you with new skills -- all at the same time. She will, of course, discuss thimble choices and which battings are best for hand quilting, as she shares her own approach to creative quilting satisfaction. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.
