Adding shaped scallops, bows, hearts and diamonds creates a distinctive, high-end look to almost any project, including garments, accessories and home décor items. Explore the variety of ‘shape-able’ trims as you practice the step-by-step process necessary to create various shapes, along with the techniques used to stitch them in place. Kathy shares her practiced system for creating perfect miters and curves, while providing the guidelines for stitching each. You’ll leave class having made a notebook of samples: shapes of all kinds using folded bias, spaghetti bias, lace edging, lace insertion and rickrack. She’ll demonstrate the vintage technique of flip-flopping, too! Join Kathy in this treasure-trove of shaping and mitering techniques.
